Your session begins with a conversation to determine how you are feeling and what you want to accomplish. Based upon that conversion, we will make the decision together on the focus areas for that session. I incorporate various techniques to address your specific needs. I use a combination of different modalities to achieve this, and a range of pressure, depending on your physical presentation that day. I will ask for your feedback during the session. If, at any time, the pressure is too much or you experience discomfort, please let me know immediately and I will adjust accordingly.
Therapeutic massage does not have to be painful. If a spot is very tender, it can be briefly uncomfortable. Pain interferes with relaxation, so I try to use only the pressure needed. Most clients I work with tell me that I have a good medium to deep pressure during a deep-tissue massage. I use broad, slow strokes to achieve maximum release.
